- Compensation -The Sous Chef is an hourly management development role on the path to becoming a Chef with ESR. Our Sous Chefs' average wages range between 70K and 75K. This is based on a work schedule of 40 regular hours worked per week plus 5 scheduled authorized overtime hours worked per week.

Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, procedures.
- Emphasis on accuracy, speed, and attention to detail.
- Strong problem solving skills and adaptability in the moment.
- Ability to learn the POS and other necessary computer functions.
- Comprehensive knowledge of industry best practices.
- Current WA State Food Handler Card.
- Culinary degree strongly preferred.
This is a Non-exempt Hourly Management role and does not participate in tip sharing.

Accordingly, ESR pays its hourly employees an equitable and agreed-upon hourly rate. While not expected, any gratuities that are left are split amongst hourly employees. To help ensure its best-in-class customer experience and ability to remain competitive, ESR adds a 22% service charge to all checks. Those service charges are retained (100%) by the house.

Compensation: $27.00 - $30.37 per hour
